Ariel Gail
Prof. Gail S. Goodman is the Distinguished Professor of Psychology as well as Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She is widely credited with developing the first modern-day science-based study of children's eyewitness memories and the role of child victims as witnesses in the legal realm. Professor Goodman has published numerous papers, received many grants and received many international and national prizes. Her work has been with numerous governments and organizations across the world on policy and research pertaining to the child victimization of the justice system. She serves as a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of numerous professional associations such as the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is an active member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect as well as the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. The America Psychological Association's Developmental Division and Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Society for Child and Family policy and practice.
