Anna Gunn
Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. Her most well-known role is her character Skyler White on Breaking Bad, an AMC drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actor in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She performed the roles of Jean Ward and Martha Bullock as well in The Practice. Anna Gunn grew up in Sante Fe New Mexico and was awed by acting when she was in Preparatory School. The late 70's, her family relocated to Ohio. She attended Northwestern University to study theatre and also spent time at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her career in Chicago and worked in theater parts for a number of years. After that, she relocated to Hollywood where she started acting in movies and television shows. Anna was selected to portray Arden in the TV show Down the Shore in the 29-episode series Down the Shore. Anna continued to appear in movies and TV series such as Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and others up to the late 1990's. Anna was later placed in The Practice as Jean Ward. In 2000, she was placed in Deadwood in the role of Martha Bullock for two full seasons. Skyler was as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully and Deadwood are also a part of her work. Gunn was also on the stage starring in the David Schwimmer-directed production of Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in the podcast audio drama of four episodes Numbered days, which was made available in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. Its strain and ultimate end reflect the final decades in the story of Walter White.
